Meet Carroll Asseo

Carroll Asseo is a native Oklahoman who has lived in Moore for 40 years. She is a graduate of Lawton High School and Cameron University, where she earned a B.S. in 1975. She has spent her career as a public educator, from teacher to principal to superintendent, prior to her retirement in 2018.
During her tenure, she has called Oklahoma City, Moore, Schwartz, and Mid-Del Public Schools home. She and her husband, Roger, taught together for many years, and both come from military families. They are both gun owners who believe in safety and responsible ownership. Carroll’s favorite activities include spending time with her grandson and volunteering in the community.
In the Community

Throughout her career, Carroll has been a consistent voice for fairness, accountability, and opportunity. She has advocated for stronger public schools, better resources for teachers, and policies that put students first. In retirement, her advocacy didn’t stop; she continues to volunteer in her community and works to help elect leaders who will stand up for everyday Oklahomans.
Now, Carroll is stepping forward to take that same advocacy to the State Capitol. She’s running to be a voice for working families, public schools, and local communities—making sure that government works for the people, not special interests.
"I’m running to be the Representative of HD53 because of the deterioration of Oklahoma’s Public Schools. I had a courtside ticket to our fall from 17th to 50th in national education rankings."
